THE ROYAL WEDDING: SARAH BURTON DESIGNER OF PRINCESS CATHERINE'S WEDDING GOWN

The rumors were true. Sarah Burton, creative director of Alexander McQueen's fashion house designed Princess Catherine's wedding gown.

It is made of silk tulle, and perfectly complemented with the intricate lace that adorned the neckline and arms. The gown is simple, stunning and classy. It did befit the royal wedding!

The crown that adorned her head was borrowed from the queen. It was made exclusively by Cartier for Queen Elizabeth.

The lace trimmings and details were crafted by the Royal School of Needlework.

KATE MIDDLETON: MY NEW FASHION ICON

Feminine and elegant with a dash of fun. Kate would rather have it in luxurious bolds or flirty florals. Definitely my kind of style!

STYLE FILES: GOWN DESIGNER OF KATE MIDDLETON IS STILL SHROUDED IN MYSTERY

Rumor has it that Philippa Lepley, a London- based haute couture wedding gown designer is Kate Middleton's choice for her wedding gown. Other sources have revealed that Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton was chosen. But whoever designer and whatever house of design will be chosen, no one knows. Clues given as to who will design the gown of the bride in this wedding of the century leads to no concrete answers.

But I love Kate Middleton for that! I believe that the essence of a woman is her mystery. And that's what makes her lovable and irresistible.

But if Philippa Lepley is truly the lucky designer, then I would have to say: GREAT CHOICE KATE!

Philippa's designs are defined as elegant and exquisite. I find it amazing that amidst the simplicity of her designs, there is a very striking appeal to each of it. It must be the timelessness of the design and how beautifully crafted the gowns are. Her creations are absolutely stunning!

Here are my top picks if I were to advise the princess-to-be on what to wear on her wedding day (wishful thinking. LOL!).

All gowns are by Philippa Lepley. View her site and drool at her creations HERE.

With gowns as gorgeous as these, who wouldn't want to tie the knot?!

Talk about looking like a princess on your wedding day even if your beau is not named William!

I could imagine Kate in any of these gowns! She's blessed with a great body. So I think whatever cut she wants to be in, she'll look effortlessly fabulous.

And my top choice would be this. Truly befitting a royal wedding. I do believe that the royal touch shouldn't be lost in this modern day and age where women would love to show their pretty shoulders and silky smooth backs in their wedding gowns. With power comes great responsibility. And being a princess will require Kate to look like one. So her wedding gown is the first step.

Gazing at this dreamy gown reminds me of the past female monarchs that I have encountered in my academic studies. The ball cut is truly an iconic style amongst queens and princesses. The sweetheart neckline is modern, but the sheer lace sleeve on the chest and shoulders gives the gown a royal appeal. The plain satin bow is a lovely touch to somehow break the lace-y number. Though adorned with too much lace, I still find it simple because of the delicate material used on it. It's not overpowering. It's simple, but will definitely make you drop- dead gorgeous. Just exactly what Kate has in mind for her wedding gown.

I am happily anticipating the Royal Wedding! Can't wait to see the princess-to-be and my-new-style-icon Kate Middleton walking down the aisle! :D
